Skirmishers is a unit tab in Blood & Iron. It is accessible by all nations.
Overview[]
Skirmishers are often used as units which work independently from the larger force. In Blood & Iron, skirmishers are separated into two categories: Riflemen and Light Infantry, which utilize weapons designed for far-distance engagements.
Light Infantry[]
Rankers are equipped with a light musket (a line musket without the bayonet) and a sabre or sword, depending on the nation.
While playing as the Russian Empire, the Militia tab also contains extra light infantry regiments. They are instead equipped with either a hand axe or a knife.
While playing as the Austrian Empire, the Militia tab also contains extra light infantry regiments. They are instead equipped with a hand axe.
Riflemen[]
Rankers are equipped with a rifle and a sabre briquet or sword bayonet, depending on the nation.
While playing as either the Duchy of Warsaw or the Spanish Empire, Riflemen are instead found under the Militia tab. They are instead equipped with either a hand axe or a knife.
Trivia[]
- Riflemen are often called 'Riflemains' in Blood & Iron due to their usage and power.
